Welcome We are back

Greetings everyone

It has been quite some time since my last post.  In fact, this is a whole new blog and we have an entirely new site gbf.  Once again, all credit goes to the folks at Richmond Web Design http://richmondwebdesign.net/ for our improved look and functionality.  If you have a need for most any kind of web site they are the folks to see.

Here at GBF Enterprises LLC we are a multi channel enterprise our endeavors cover the internet and beyond.  We got our start on ebay, which continues to be a large part of our enterprise we can be found at http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?type=4&campid=5335986409&toolid=10001&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fstores.ebay.com%2FFred-Sanford-Returns.  We have a presence on Amazon at http://www.amazon.com/gp/shops/index.html?ie=UTF8&sellerID=A2TC9KVDN3H2Q5.  And of course our home site http://www.gbfenterprisesllc.com/.

We carry many interesting items on all of our venues.  We got in on the liquidation of one of the Sharper Image retail locations and managed to bring many interesting items to you at a fraction of the original price.  One item of note is the Lovehandler http://www.gbfenterprisesllc.com/~gbfenter/product_info.php?cPath=35&products_id=300&osCsid=c68952bfe5b5b9dc58a6d4222fd4a646 grab one quickly as we are almost sold out.

In January, ebay announced many changes that were, to put it mildly, unpalatable to the sellers who make all or a portion of their living on and in turn make up the backbone of ebay.  Sellers are no longer allowed to leave negative or neutral feedback for buyers.  Neutrals left for sellers now would count as negatives, and of course there are DSR ratings whose impact upon sellers ebay has done an abysmal job of conveying to buyers.  Ebay has suggested the burden should be upon the seller to educate the buyer regarding the impact of the DSR ratings.

In June, we attended ebay Live in Chicago the event was smaller than those we have attended in the past and the general atmosphere was different.  We have been used to an air of energy and positive excitement.  This year the sellers’ demeanor ran the gamut from concerned to downright angry.  The ebay staff and management team got an earful at every turn (and rightly so).  To my mind, they had to have been unprepared for the level of passion and insight that was displayed by the sellers.  They said they were listening, I hope they were.

Since ebay Live, it has been announced that neutrals will no longer be counted as negatives and they are reevaluating the announced changes to the links policy.

There are things I do not like about ebay.  During the Town Hall at ebay Live a lady got up to the microphone and asked almost in tears why can’t we go back to the old ebay.  I felt this lady’s pain, as I am sure many in the room did as well unfortunately, life and the things in it constantly change, the old ebay is gone, we have no choice, but to adapt or move on.  Ebay still works for me so, I will continue to hang in there for the time being.

I am going to try to do a better job with this blog.  We are going to bring you news of our constantly changing offerings at our home site http://www.gbfenterprisesllc.com/ at our ebay store http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?type=4&campid=5335986409&toolid=10001&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fstores.ebay.com%2FFred-Sanford-Returns  and, our Amazon storefront  http://www.amazon.com/gp/shops/index.html?ie=UTF8&sellerID=A2TC9KVDN3H2Q5 . We are going to bring you news of and our view of the constantly changing world of ecommerce and a little bit of news of our day to day adventures.  For now we are signing off.  Thanks for reading.  Thanks for visiting.
